Import Duties & Taxes

We ship our pieces from our studio in Bangkok to homes internationally, because every country has its own unique regulations, please note:

For the countries marked (Included) in our shipping table, import duties and taxes are already covered for countries marked "Included."

If your country is marked ( — ),import duties or customs taxes are not included and may apply upon arrival. These charges are determined by your local customs office and are the responsibility of the recipient. While we are unable to predict or cover these specific costs, we provide all necessary documentation to ensure your piece clears customs as smoothly as possible.

Placing an Order

Orders are placed directly through our website. Once your order is confirmed you will receive an email with your order details. We are a small team, please allow 3-5 business days for us to process and dispatch your order.

Character, Finish & Photography

Because our pieces are hand-poured from recycled materials, variations in colour, tone, and finish are a part of our process. What may appear as a specific shade in a photograph is often influenced by natural light, shadows, and screen calibration. While we strive to document our pieces as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match. Learn more about our material and process.

Returns & Exchanges

To maintain the integrity of our small-batch production, all sales are final. We are unable to offer returns or exchanges for:

  • Subtle shifts in colour or tone compared to digital photography
  • Natural surface characteristics (mould lines, structural visibility, or minor surface lines)
  • Batch-to-batch variation between separate orders
  • Change of mind

In the exceptional case that an exchange is mutually agreed upon, please note that all return shipping and associated reshipping costs and additional import duties  remain the responsibility of the customer.

Claims Policy

We take great care in hand-packing every piece to ensure it arrives safely. In the rare event that your item is structurally compromised during transit, please reach out to us so we can make it right:

  • Contact hello@rumbabor.com within 7 days of arrival.
  • Please include clear photos of the outer packaging before opening, as well as the damaged item.
  • To ensure we can support your claim, please provide this documentation within the 7-day window.
Longevity & Circularity

We design for the long term. If a component is damaged through years of use, individual replacement parts (such as seat and legs) are available for purchase to keep your stool in service.

Furthermore, if your CHOEI has truly reached the end of its life with you, we invite you to send it back to our studio to be reinjected back into our production cycle.
