Almost glass-like in its translucency, the engraved Chinese motifs are visible. The surface catches light somewhere between solid and transparent.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eKOAM\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is a lamp made from the seat of the CHOEI stool — hand-poured from recycled polypropylene and held to its stainless steel base by a pipe fitting. Originally a utilitarian choice — we were drawn to the mundane detail of the Thai industrial text aesthetic. It became the detail we kept. The imperfect stool seat repurposed as the lower half, its flaw facing downward and invisible when in use.  Every imperfection finds a place. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eKOAM continues our practice of remaking and repurposing, responding to the remnants and flaws along the way.
